Caroline Locher-Lo

PhD, Department of Educational Studies

Caroline graduated with a PhD in Educational Studies. Her doctoral research is predominantly framed within the parameters of maintaining heritage languages of immigrant youth in the context of multicultural Canada. Her other research interests include post-colonialism and post-imperialism, international comparative education, social justice, and youth math education. Caroline received her MEd in Justice, Law and Ethics from Simon Fraser University in 2013, and her MBA in Finance and Marketing from Eastern Washington University in 1995. Caroline has more than ten years of experience teaching mathematics, and Mandarin at Tzu Chi Humanistic Academy Canada, and has been serving as a humanitarian Commissioner and Public Relations locally and internationally for Tzu Chi Foundation Canada for the past decade.
