Sue Saltmarsh is a Professor in Early Childhood at University of Southern Queensland, Australia. Her research interests are informed by poststructuralist theories of power, knowledge, subjectivity and agency in the work of Michel de Certeau, Michel Foucault and Judith Butler. Her current research spans a range of educational and social domains, with a focus on the discursive production of subjectivities and social relations. She is particularly interested in institutional violence, and its intersections with/appropriations of language, representation and consumption.
